Amankora Bumthang: Your Sacred Valley Escape

Amankora Bumthang Bhutan Lodge Overview

Find tranquillity at Amankora Bumthang. Perched next to Wangdichholing Palace in the sacred Chamkhar valley, this 16-suite retreat is surrounded by green pine forests. This lodge is an ideal base for hiking and biking. The design takes cues from Japanese minimalism. You will find soft rugs on the floors and crackling fires in the ‘bukharis’ or wood-burning stoves. The zen-like restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a peaceful courtyard. The clean lines and muted palette create a unique sense of luxury.

The 16 fortress-inspired suites are cosy and comfortable. Each suite includes a king-size bed and a lounge area with an armchair and a window banquette. Your bathroom features a terrazzo-clad bathtub, twin vanities, and a strong rain shower. A traditional wood-burning stove is positioned between the bedroom and bathroom.
